The third quarter closed with Christian Emphasis Week 2016. The New Hope OG band returned to lead the middle and high school in chapels throughout the week, and Pastor Matt Sanders (Waialae Baptist Church) spoke on the theme "Overwhelmed" during the chapels. Students also attended a variety of seminars that week and enjoyed lunch performances by guest musicians.

Over the semester, Japanese teachers Chie Watanabe and Elena Yoo filmed students and faculty members dancing to the Japanese group AKB48's song "Fortune Cookie In Love."
