The third quarter closed with Christian Emphasis Week 2016. The New Hope OG band returned to lead the middle and high school in chapels throughout the week, and Pastor Matt Sanders (Waialae Baptist Church) spoke on the theme "Overwhelmed" during the chapels. Students also attended a variety of seminars that week and enjoyed lunch performances by guest musicians.

With the start of this past fall break, a group of 50 HBA students and teachers embarked on an 11-day trip to England. On August 17, 2015, Hawaii Baptist Academy’s high and middle schoolers embarked on a “Love Does” themed field trip to the elementary campus for lunch, worship, and games with the younger students. Over the semester, Japanese teachers Chie Watanabe and Elena Yoo filmed students and faculty members dancing to the Japanese group AKB48's song "Fortune Cookie In Love." Using the short clips they filmed, Watanabe and Yoo created a video corresponding with AKB48's song and dance. The video mainly consisted of students currently taking a Japanese course …
