The Eagle Eye was named the runner-up for the overall Best-in-State award at this year’s Hawaii High School Journalism Awards competition. The staff also took home numerous Best-in-State awards in individual categories, and finished first overall in the Photo Division. On February 9, 2023, the boys varsity basketball team played Kohala in the semi-finals of the Heide & Cook/Division II boys basketball championships. The Eagles lost 45-61 to Kohala and finished fourth in the championship. Photographs by Brendan Aoki ('24).
